It was like watching an absurd but hugely funny scene in an unimaginably silly play when our great parliamentarians in the Lok Sabha were discussing 'black money'. However, not one admitted to the truth that white money does not fund elections ' black money does ' as it does the campaigns, sometimes the private air and chopper travel, the fancy fleets of SUVs, or the high-flying lifestyles, palatial homes and lavish weddings, the money spent in which could take care of a lifetime of comfort for a simple, honest, middle-class nuclear family. Unaccounted money and freebies taken with abandon from all and sundry epitomizes the political class, with some exceptions.
