Dog sniffs 5.5 kg heroin
A canine member of the integrated sniffer dog squad of the Narcotics division of the Mumbai Customs Department was responsible for yet another drug haul at the Mumbai International airport yesterday. The dog successfully tracked and intercepted a young Ugandan lady in possession of 5.5 kg worth of heroin, worth Rs 1.5 crore.

Tusk haul from Dalma sanctuary
Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Jan. 31: A pair of elephant tusks, weighing approximately 32kg, were recovered late last night from Dalma sanctuary with the help of a sniffer dog and forest officials believe they have scuttled an attempt to smuggle out the ivory valued at Rs 40 lakh in the open market.

Four puppies inducted in dog squad of city police
Four Labrador puppies were inducted in the city police dog squad recently. Two of the puppies, Badal and Prince, will be trained for bomb detection while a pup named Rambo will be trained for crime detection. Viru, a black Labrador puppy, will be trained to trace narcotic substances.
