Free condoms have been given out to every athlete in the London 2012 Olympics. The record of 1.5 lakh condoms have been distributed to the athletes which is 50000 more than during the Beijing Olympics. An avereage of 15 condoms have been given to one player and with stories of Olympics village becoming a sex racket of sorts looks like even this number will fall short. Previous studies had shown that sex should be abstained from while focussing on the sport but now studies have shown that it can actually boost performance on the field. With raunchy stories of sex orgies floating around from the Olympics village doing the rounds it makes good business sense for companies like Durex to give out freebies. Not only athletes even Hollywood stars have been having late nights with sports persons.
